Like the Anonymous & Anonymous piece Juha Huuskonen usedonly one source for his piece. But instead of distorting the piece to something very different from the origin The Moment of Long Now was an attempt to take a closer look on the source.

For the piece Juha Huuskonen used one news channel, I think it was the BBC news, that was running 24 hours a day. He sampled a few seconds and slowed down the speed of the images one hundred times. The idea was to let the audience focus on the images that normally are shown vary fast instantly switching between the subjects. Inspired by a motion called The Long Now Foundation Huuskonen tried to step on the break in the middle of the media flow.

Many artists on the nonTVTvstation worked with TV-channels in different ways. One reason was of course that it was an easy material. It was there all the time, 24 hours a day, seven days a week and it offered a great discourse of topics and possibilities. But it is also a media that not only communicates through the TV-sets, it infiltrates all kinds of media and then it becomes interesting from a conceptual and political view as well. Working with it, distorting it or combining it with other media connects any piece using TV as an input to the mash up idea.
